Two law firms were co-representing several women clients who were alleging being sexual harassed at their place of employment. The law firms contacted Carlsborg Investigation Services, Inc. to investigate and find and interview witnesses who would confirm the allegation for a potential civil complaint to be filed against the employer of these women. Potential witnesses both current and former employees were located and interviewed. One former employee was located in another state and a declaration was obtained from this person which supports the women allegations. Additional information was obtained from several other sources which also supported the women complaints. The allegations were settled in favor of the women. |

Civil Investigation - Harrassment |

A man was accused of felony hit and run and assault with a car involving a pedestrian at a cross walk on the Olympic Peninsula. His wife was also was accused and charged with giving a false statement to police over the incident. The attorneys representing the couple contacted Carlsborg Investigation Services, Inc and the couple retained our services for the investigation. Witnesses that were not interviewed by police were contacted by our investigator and these witnesses gave statements which contradicted the testimony of the state witnesses. An accident reconstructions’ expert was used by the defense attorney for the man and Carlsborg Investigation Services, Inc worked with the expert, taking photos and other measurement that he requested. The woman’s case was dismissed before trial. The man’s court case went to trial and he was found innocent of all charges by a jury of his peers. |

Criminal Investigation - Felony Hit and Run |

A local business owner whom by the nature of his business lent money to individuals to prepare their equipment for harvest. The owner wa being questioned by some of the individuals that they didn’t own him the amount of money which they had been loaned. Many of the individuals refused to pay the business any money at all. The business owner contacted Carlsborg Investigation Services, Inc. The loans documents were compared with loan payments made by the individuals and it was found that the individuals did owe the amount of money which the business was due. Several individuals who were not paying began paying the business owner a portion of their harvest. The economic downturn has affected the whole industry but even though payment has been slow, it is still being made to the business owner. |
